UTC
Abbreviation for Coordinated Universal Time
In short and in plain language
UTC is a reference time that is the same all over the world.
Time zones are based on it.
Servers and programs that run at set times often give times this way. Summer time and winter time do not change it.
Definition
UTC is the worldwide reference time on which time zones are based. Technical systems such as servers and cron jobs often state times in UTC, regardless of summer and winter time.
